Supporting honey bees in the 21st century is crucial for their survival and the overall health of our ecosystems. Bees play a vital role in pollinating plants, including many crops that provide us with food. Here are some ways you can support honey bees: 1. Plant bee-friendly flowers:

Trapped in a sticky situation.  Extreme summer heat a buzzkill for region's bees. Beekeepers Dave Sharpless and Destry Myers, demonstrate how they move and relocate their queen bees on June 6,.  With summer just around the corner, optimal temperature for bees is about 95 degrees.  If it's hotter, bees will begin to exhibit stress and show difficulty surviving.
